Founder and Senior Consultant
Maureen Kelley, Founder, is a passionate advocate for educating, empowering and engaging people to make sound financial decisions. She offers guidance and solutions to address her client’s unique situation and financial needs. Throughout her career, she built a strong community presence and a reputation for building and expanding relationships individually and in partnership with other professionals––focusing on the financial well-being of families.
Before starting MADRE, Maureen served as Senior Vice President of Private Banking at Wells Fargo Private Bank, N.A. She began her career as a financial consultant at wealth management firms including Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney. During those early years, she recognized the need to help women in transition who were ill prepared to cope with managing their wealth and finances. She created programs designed to empower women to take charge of their financial lives. The many workshops she has facilitated address next generation education, financial responsibility, wealth transfer, and family dynamics.
With a strong desire to serve clients on a deeper level, she has pursued academic achievement. She is an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor through the College of Financial Planning, a Certified Family Coach and member of the International Coaching Federation, a Certified Family Wealth Advisor through the Family Firm Institute, Executive Women’s Leadership Certification through the Wharton School, a graduate of Financial Therapy from Kansas State University, and a student of Bowen Family Systems Theory. Maureen considers herself to be a lifetime learner.
Giving back to the community is a family tradition she learned from her parents and grandparents. Maureen has served on numerous board of directors and executive leadership committees. Today she is frequently called to speak on women’s and family dynamics issues.
